    About St Neots Rugby Club

St Neots Rugby Football Club is a non-profit organization whose mission is to participate in and promote the sport of rugby at all age levels within the St Neots area. This includes Mini/ Midi (U7-U12), Youth (U13-U17), Seniors (18+), Vets (35+) and Ladies.

This participation and promotion is accomplished through various means including playing, coaching, refereeing and community development.

    Past

The Club was first formed in 1938 but folded because of the war.

The Club was Reformed 1964 and continued to present.

P.Huckle was the first President in 1964, who had also played pre-war.

    Present

As members of the East Midlands RFU and the RFU, St Neots 1st XV competes in the East Mids 4, East, South league whilst the other two senior sides compete in merit tables. All of our youth teams have matches on a regular basis and compete in the East Midlands Leagues and County Championships. See the individual team pages for fixtures, results etc.

Currently our membership stands at over 800 people, including active, family and associate members. The majority of our members are everyday working professionals involved with various trades and professions including; students, teachers, designers, lawyers, carpenters, doctors, engineers, police officers and even an accomplished actor.

From a geographic standpoint, our members live and work in towns and villages all around the St Neots area.

Various sections of the club (including juniors) tour once a year to different parts of the country and occasionally overseas to play against other clubs.

The club has been awarded the Seal of Approval by the RFU for the coaching and welfare of children & young persons, including child protection.

All of these factors, along with individual member commitment, an extensive community development programme and a thriving Mini & Youth Section contribute to St Neots RFC being probably the best rugby club in East Midlands in all physical, competitive and social aspects.

Our clubhouse facilities are the envy of many rugby clubs, we boast 2 separate shower areas, 6 changing rooms, a gymnasium, 3 pitches, a large floodlit training area and 2 well stocked bars.

Our function hall is regularly hired out for wedding receptions and parties at very reasonable rates on a regular basis.

    Future

Since our humble beginnings, over 1000 players have proudly worn St Neots colours of navy and sky blue. More than half of these players had their introduction to the sport and played their first games of rugby in a St Neots RFC shirt, coming through the ranks of the Mini and Youth Sections thanks to our 20+ qualified coaches and parent helpers.

It is the objective of St Neots RFC to continue to participate in and promote the sport of rugby, welcoming new members into the club on a constant basis.

St Neots RFC is continually seeking new players from all levels of experience to join any of the following programmes: Mens, Vets, Ladies, U13-U18 Girls and Boys, U15-18 girls or U7-U12 Girls and Boys. Whether a seasoned veteran or new to the sport there is a place for your contributions to the continued success of St Neots RFC both on and off the pitch.

The seniors train on a Tuesday and Thursday evening, starting at 7:30pm and play on Saturdays.

The Colts play on Saturdays. The mini and juniors train/play on Sundays, starting at 10am.
